stock crx EF won't start?????
My brother has a 89 crx EF and I can't figure that damn thing out for nothing. I checked the fuel and it's getting fuel. It has to be in the ignition somewhere. Do they have ignition control modules in those? It will just crank and crank but nothing else. I told him to replace the coil plugs wires and ICM and see what it does.
Just wanted to see if anyone has ran into this problem before. I searched but everything is for swapped b16's. Is there a common problem with these motors maybe? Thanks

It turned out to be a bad ecu when I had a similar problem.
Replaced the ecu, and bingo, fired right up. If you can get your hands on a "known good" ecu to test with, that's where I would start. If that doesn't work, or you can't get your hands on an ecu, dl a copy of the helms manual-vtec supplement online and run through the ignition truobleshooter flowchart.
I was gonna tell you to search for it but I remembered this computer has the page book marked.
Good luck.

Edit: Guess I read your post wrong, the vtec supplement might not help ya out all that much(still a free manual though should ya ever swap).
I'd still try a different ecu and see if that gets ya anywhere, I really don't know much about the D series stuff, so you're on your own after that..
