Default i tried in suspension but here is a small question

suspension forum sucks seems like no one knows anything.
i think this is a better place tp put my question

i just install gc 500lbs front and 550 rears on my 93 hatch, i went with 8 inch front and 7 rears. after the install and everything, i set the car height and everything went well. it drives like it's on jackstands.
but my question was why does it look like i only have anout 1.5-2 inches of shock travel before it hits the bump stops? i did cut the stops in half and did not use the dust boots and i for sure did not slam the car. it sit with about 1.5i inch wheel to fender gap, front and rear.

just wondering if this is normal? as i really never looked at my old setup before.

1.5 to 2.0" shock travel is pretty good actually. Dont worry about it.

I read it in the Suspension Forum but thought you had a normal situation so I didn't respond. I expect you are looking at the distance from your bump rubber to the shock body top in your measurement when based at the normal ride height. That is not the shock strok that you are looking at, the is the available compression stroke and there is rebound or extension stroke available up in the shock when the car is in motion. Realize also theat these Hondas are in the .7:1 shock to wheel motion ratio so you should have plenty of travel if you drive sanely remembering that the car is lowered.
