It's just a FWD Honda. It will do perfectly fine with good tires.

With the Z rated Bridgestone Potenzas I have on my car it is absolutely terrible. Brakeing is not too bad but acceleration through snow is very very bad. I am buying snow tires this winter
its all about your tires. its the only thing that touches the ground anyways.. the other thing would be brakes. and somewat suspension. but mainly tires make the biggest diffrence its like wearing boots or wearing dress shoes in the snow.

yikes, i would hate to be forced to drive my car on roads that had salt put on them. Probaly takes a long time for rust to begin after a lot of driving on roads like that.
I have blizzak WS 50s, never got stuck or had problems with mobility. They provide excelent traction in the snow. If you hit black ice you're in trouble regardless, so nothing substitutes caution when driving in foul weather. However the 90% of the time when there is no snow on the ground the lude handled like a buick.
I don't know how people drive in the snow with an upgraded clutch though. You can't really let off the clutch as slowly as before - it either catches or not - so its just wheel spin.....
maybe. I'm not driving mine this winter though - i drove it last winter - and it was a pain. I'm bringing out my 1987 Grand Am - can't go over 40mph in it.....but thats good. I can get my turbo build started.

Where I'm from the roads usually have more salt then snow on them

Just buy a beater. You can save on insurance because you don't need to have full coverage like you SHOULD have with your Prelude. EF hatches work great in the snow. You can pick one up for about 500 bucks in decent running condition. 500 bucks is about the same price as a good set of snows on steel wheels. And yeah Preludes do rust. Especially if you aren't OCD about getting it washed everyday.
My winter beater is my old 95 Prelude lol. Fully built H22a. 47 dollars from the insurance company, with mounted snows.

I'm not about to store a 5 year old honda.....I refuse to drive a pos in the winter. I'm buying the car as a daily driver and that's exactly what it will be used for.
and of course I'll have full coverage I'm not sure why you would doubt my insurance coverage on the car.
