gas gauge question

gas gauge question
IT WAS THE FLOAT
i search and really found nothing out.
the gauge reads 3/4 full all the time? it worked once, but now is stck again.
could it be the float? if so, just take out the back seat and take the cover off and adjust it?
need some help, thanks
