im in the process of rebuilding my enigne and was wondering if all of the lower main bearings are the same size and everything or if there is a differance between them.

 

Did you have the crank turned? If so by how much? If you did not then just get the main bearings that go to that motor. You should still plastigage them.

when i changed my main bearings i made sure which bearings went where. if you are getting oem bearings there are little color coded markings on the side of the bearings. i bought the same colors for each bearing and put them in the same spot which where the originals were. I would definately check the clearances with the plastigage. hope i helped...later
