Default H22 Shifter gets harder to shift???

Hey guys...

After I launched my car and floored it, my shifter seems to get hard as hell. IT's harder to shift and crap. This is in my H22 Civic. Does anyone have any suggestions or know what might be the problem to this?? THanks

could possibly have a tranny gear selector problem.. (its unlikely).. but possible that your shifter lever's are sticking.. try shooting some spray lube.. or oil at the shifter bushings right on the tranny.. work everything in..

i have killed a couple sets of MT shifter cables in my H22 sol. The bend in the cable that controls the vertical motion of the shifter is pretty extreme in my case and under hard shifting has broken 3 times. You may want to check that. Just unhook the cables from the tranny and see if the shifter moves freely or if there is still resistance. If there's still resistance, you'll have to replace that cable.

that synchro wears out quickly if you skip 4th gear a lot during normal daily driving.

sometimes it has to do with where you decided to make the hole for your shifter. that might be a factor.

you should have the shifter cable hole in a position where the cables dont have to bend much. meaning from the shifter to the hole.

geeze i hope that made sense lol

Its a tight fit no matter what. You can only move the shifter location a few inches before it won't match up with the interior pieces of your car. You could always have a custom shift cable made, that would be easier than moving your shifter once you have the hole cut.

yep! Same thing with mine! Grinds in 5th gear only the rest are smooth. I think it has to do also with your mount kit. It looks like the gear selector might be tough my mount or is damn near close to it.

yeah....the thing is....

now my 1, 2nd, 5th arent working when the car is moving. WTF?? When it's at stand still and parked, I would be able to shift it through the gears but when the car is actually driven, then I cant shift into 1, 2, 5 gears...now what the hell wouldbe the cause of this??

I guess I'm one of the few lucky ones whos never had a problem shifting in a H22 civic. well, actually 1st gear is kinda hard to get into sometimes but I'm pretty sure thats the tranny.
