Sears and Snap-On (SIMMLM320 $40.50-1/2" Impact); both have them singly. If you need a 3/4" drive that may be an issue.

I've used a 1 1/4" (31.75mm) 1/2" drive deep socket for the last 15 years, and it's always worked perfectly.

Flag down a truck. (Snap On, MAC, Matco, etc)

I would definately go for at least a 1/2" drive impact version and don't cheap out because it's going to need some torque behind it.

Got mine at Sears, too. Hanging on a hook all by itself.

BTW, you really do want the 6-point impact socket rather than the 12-point chrome one. Even if you don't have an impact wrench.

I just purchased the impact socket from the local auto parts stores. I got one from a Napa & a second one for the trailer was purchased from a Kragen. $6 or $7 if I remember correctly.

1-1/4"(32mm equals 1.259")works just as well.every one i've had is 12 point-again,no problems at all.3/4" or 1/2" drive,at Sears.around $15.
i finally broke one after about seven years of use on a 3/4" drive impact(my dad uses it for diesel truck service too).took it back, got another for free.
Home Depot/Lowes also sell them in 1/2" drive.

Under 10 bucks at Straus where I got mine. I know you can get them at Pep Boys and at Advance and at Autozone all for around that price.

I have 2. One I got from Sears, its the 12-point chrome socket mentioned/posted and one I got from Autozone. The one from Autozone is a 6-point socket and is a more "heavy duty" design. I only use the Autozone one now.

I got mine from Napa and if your local Sears does not stock the one you are looking for (without buying a set), they can probably order it for you or you can order from sears.com

This took me a whole 15 seconds to find.

Type in your zip code, and they will show you the nearest store that has it in stock.
