Welding between the thinnest sections in collectors

The thinnest section between the pipes in this collector, similar to the one i plan on fabricating, how do you all weld the runners onto the collector between there?
It looks like an impossibly small space to get even a small tig torch in....
yuo cant weld it in the inside of a 5inch long collector unless someone made a tig torch that can weld with the tungstun extended like 4 inches out and can still get gas coverage inside

what if you trapped the gas inside the area to be welded?
this is something that takes a serious amount of practice, but can be done. i promise.
i'll post some pictures of jesse and andys PeakBoost collector welds a little later.
edit: patience and welding go hand in hand

My local welding shop has welding cups for my miller torch that are about 4 inches long, with a pretty narrow tip. they are invaluable for getting into tight spots. Sometimes, you can weld the inside of the collector in the middle of the merge where the other side is inaccessable.
Im looking for a good way to cut the pipes on collectors. My Plasma works alright, but it takes more cleaning up of the cut than i'd like, and my reasonably strong bandsaw just sucks with stainless 18 gauge. Anyone have a good method?

You can use an old small sand blasting cabinet. Just use something size appropriate to keep the purge gas costs down.
