rattling after header install

Default rattling after header install

hey just wondering if anyone has had this before...i installed my dc header a couple months ago and since then ive been hearing rattling noises @ 1500rpm or any low idle....it rattles at stop lights....just wondering if anyone has had this problem...its the most annoying sound ive ever heard...i know its not the heat shield cuz i dont have one....can anyone help me figure out how to fix this problem

try tightening the bolts they might have got loose since u probably didn't line up the header to piping correctly.

There is a metal bracket that the header hangs onto, did you use it?

might be coming close to that front crossmember depending on what engine you have in there.

dont hand tighten your o2 sensor.....

i made that mistake, i THOUGHT it was tight, but rattled loose, was annoying as expletive untill i realized what it was.

but seriously.... did you use new donut gasket where the header meets the cat?
did you use a new exhaust manifold gasket at the head?

if it s a 2 piece header, did you use new donut gaskets in between the two?

is the O2 sensor tightened with a wrench? or did you screw it on by hand?

More than likely thats the problem. If you get a flex pipe, it might stop the rattling.
