Default Weird vibration after header install

I installed my DC header last week for my 00 Si and when im at a stop and need to make a really tight turn, e.g. a U turn, when I start to hit the gas and turn, I notice that there is like metal to metal vibration. Its not everytim, but everyonce in a while, there will be a small clanging vibration. Any ideas?

check your exhaust and header... see if theres enough play in there for it to hit something... if it cant then its not that.... but somethings a little lose to cause 2 things to hit...

Naw its a 1 piece. Im thinking that it might be the bracket that the header connects to near the O2 sensor.

Mine did the same thing did you attach the lower bracket and if you did make sure it is tight. Mine was a bit lose and it would vibrate at idle.

make sure its not any of the heat shields that are down at the bottomn of the exhaust, also there is a small bracket the it used to support the stock header, most aftermarket headers dont use the bracket and it could be hitting that

its probably just a heat shield.

Then again, some say that the tip that goes to the cat is actually too long and goes past the gasket - shaving it off past that point stops this.

I have a rattle at 1500rpm, but I not yet been able to find it; I have no shields and my tip is not long.

check to see if you have a gasket between the header and the cat. most people forget to take the gasket off of their stock header and put it on their aftermarket header.

The gasket is on there. Im thinking I need to tighten the bracket that holds the header near the cat.

check your o2 sensors. i put my header on and after a week i heard rattling and thought my cat blew from all the air flow. after buying a performance cat, installing it and still hearing the rattling, i realized it was the o2 on the header not screwed in all the way. sucks to learn the hard way but now i have a performance cat. cant complain

its the reverberations coming out of the head - perfectly normal for dc headers

No I dont think it normal at all, you must have the same problem. To jeffk182
did you fix the problem? Did you check the bracket on the header and make sure the 2 bolts are tight?

The sound could be your 02 sensor too. Mine was making the clanging noise. Just all the bolts thats connected near the header
