well, i just got my car up and running with the JRSC Race kit. i am happy with the way the car feels, but im a little upset with my dyno results. this is my setup currently: JRSC Race Kit w/ K-Pro, JR Race Header w/ test pipe, HKS Exaust, Injen SRI. my dyno plot only put me at 180.7 whp, which was only about 44 hp more than my dyno with just i/e. im just trying to figure out where the 80 hp avg. increase is at from this kit. any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Those numbers seem a little low. A guy at my work made 207whp with his 03 si with a similar setup.

 

well, the dyno that i ran on is a dyno dynamics. it usually reads about 13% lower than a dynojet, which is probably the most popular machine in shops. as far as i know, the plot i got is with the 13% correction already, which like you said is low. but if it is their actual readout, then i would be at 205 whp, which would be consistant with what your buddy ran. regardless, its still only a 44 hp increase from my first run before the S/C.

 

cant you upgrade the pulley to run at a higher psi?

 

bah! im an idiot. just talked with my buddy and verified that my chart is without the 13% adjustment. so im at 205 whp at only 7000 rpm. so it should be about 210 whp im figuring at redline since the hp never stops climbing. guess i just need to get it tuned now. and yes, there is a boost upgrade. 3.8" pulley puts the charger up to 10 lbs. from 8 lbs.

 

That's cool. I didn't know what dyno you ran on , so your numbers seem consistant.
