Motor shut off, WTF COULD IT BE AGAIN?!?!
so im crackin vtec, get to around 7, and shift and same in 2nd (310 injectors not tuned yet.. when 93 is under 3 bucks ill go all the way to 9200, haha) then all of a sudden my motor stops, but it still turns over so im guessin its the coil or ignitor.... so i go to honda and shell our 180 for both parts... go home and take apart the dizzy and get bizzzy.. after all is said and done... STILL DOESNT start but turns over.... wtf could this be??? motor isnt blown bc no grinds, cams turn without a prob and so does crank pulley... i need some help fast or work will not like me too much!! thanks!
check for spark, and make sure ur getting fuel...
u can check spark by taking one of the spark plug wires out and stick a screw driver in it and see if the spark jumps to one of those valve cover nuts r something simular... for checking fuel try crackinig the fuel rail and see if ur getting and fuel thru there.. other than that i dont really know.. hope this helps u out

i just checked to see if fuel pump comes on and it sounds like it does unless i have automatic seatbeats, haha just kidding... could a bad fuel filter prevent fuel? im pretty sure there is spark since my dad shocked the **** outta me by tryin to start it, lol.. thanks for hte help man.. any1 else have any clue?
try putting in new spark plugs... happended to me once.. and i thought it was the wiring harness but turn out it was the damn spark plugs

that's one of the things i hate, but it's all worth it in the end.
dont give up. you could also disconnect the fuel return line and prime and see if fuel comes out to see if your getting fuel.

i will take off fuel rail and make sure there is fuel, i have an all motor setup by the way, if it matters at all, kenji chipped ecu with obd2 to obd1 harness and 310 injectors ( just naming the fuel upgrades)
1 other thing that i have came across when we more trouble shooting my friends all motor car was that the vtec solenoid was stuck open so they car didnt idle and it would keep dying... just a thought and an idea
no i took that apart, looks good... thanks tho... i dont think its the spart plugs either... just doesnt sounds like it wants to start... im sure theres spark.. idk about fuel yet bc its rainin in Ny like normal... so im kinda stuck thats y i was hopin i coudl find the answer in hurrr... damn i hate rain...
there is fuel in the rail, i took the regulator off and switched it with a newer 1 i had, put a brand new battery in, put hte obd2a gsr ecu back in and still isnt startin, its not even turnin over now.. i think it might be a bad starter now... idk what is goin on, hahaha.. too many problems at once... i had no check lights by the way
process of elimination. dont do everything at once, cause then you wont know what went wrong. try dizzy cap and rotor. it WOULD be better if you got a working dizzy and tried it. what makes you say for sure you're getting spark?
pop your valve cover off and check your springs hight. If one looks lower than the other at TDC of that cylinder than you have bent valves which would explain why it wont start. Or check with a compression checker. Whining motor+spark+fuel= no compression. Without compression your motor wont kick over or start. I hope you didnt float a valve/valves revving that high.
i thought that if valve were bent or anything like that, the cams wont turn... car was turnin over yesterday without a problem, i think just tryin to start it so much killed the starter... or maybe im wrong, ill pop the valve cover in a lil bit and take a look... im gonna be pissed if my car cant even handle 9k... motor has 2900 on a total rebuild from the bottom up...
i know im gettin spark bc when i touched the dizzy on accident while my boy was tryin to start it, it shocked the **** outta me, haha

Pop the distributor cap and make sure the rotor is turning as you are starting the car. IF that checks out remove the spark plugs and turn it over a couple of times. You should be able to smell gas.
