i am trying to change my o2 sensor and i can not get the old one out, i have damn near broken my back trying to get this fukin thing off. is there a trick to doing this? i am only 125lbs and don't have much power behind my ***. also should i start the engine for a minute and let the exhaust heat up and then try and remove the o2 sensor. it won't budge with the exhaust being cold.

what kind of engine and car is it in? you can try using some liquid wrench on it, spray it all over and get it between the o2 and the bung...it will soak for a little while, then try it again. if not, take the damn pipe out and put it on a vice. use a big *** breaker bar and get that thing out. if that is not an option, get a torch and try to get it real hot...don't catch anything on fire.

 

Get one of those sockets made specifically for O2 sensors. I got one because I am always taking mine in/out and it made changing them so easy. Any auto parts store for about $8.

 

Spray the **** outta it with like a WD-40. let it soak for an hour or so. then rip it off.
