It should be as easy as takin some vice grips and squeezin. thats what i did. if its too hard then open the valve and let some fluid out, but if you do this you are probably gonna have to bleed the brake lines and add a little fluid. hope that helps some!!

(assuming you have stock calipers..) The OEM rear caliper pistons have an embedded cross in them. If you stick something in the recessed surface of the piston, you can twist it in/out (you can't do this with the front brake). You can use a caliper piston tool, a pair of needle-nose pliers, or a narrow, strong shaft screwdriver. Just be careful not to badly damage the raised surface of your piston.

If your piston seems frozen to the caliper bore, you'll need to break it loose before you can spin it out/in. If you use any chemicals to do this, just make sure to clean out the caliper bore thoroughly with brake part cleaner and brake fluid... AND LUBE IT UP!

Let us know how things go. GL.

You have to make sure that the cross is squared to the caliper. Get it screwed in far enough that the new pads will fit over the rotor, then make sure the cross is square. The piston will reseat itself against the pads and rotor after you put it all back together with some pressure on the brake pedal. You shouldn't have any more problems. You should rebleed the brakes, however, just for safety's sake.

Dont forget to do a brake bleed if you cracked any lines open. Your ebrake light might be on due to the fact that you put new pads on and you need to loosen the tension on the ebrake cable. As for the ABS light maybe air in the line??
