Default quick dimmer switch question...

have a 92 si. my cluster lights do not work and think it is my dimmer. i have a voltmeter and i am going to check it tonight.

my main question is, does the dimmer light switch just pop out, or is there another way to get it out?

Thanks in advance. BTW, i did search.

just yank it outta there. just use a small screwdriver and pop it out. I'm thinking you can push it out from the back I cant remember for sure if you can get to it from behind or not.

easiest to just pop it out like mentioned above. If you want a cheap repair if the switch is bad. use a paper clip as a jumper to eliminate the switch. My switch kept cutting in/out so I did this. I dont have any adjustments anymore but atleast it works.

if you tried your dimmer switch and it works for the rest of the car , then its probably just a bulb. if your entire dash and lighted components do not dim then its your dimmer switch. and it simply pops in and out.. just use a flat head. and i would pop the whole thing out not just the dimmer switch. its easier that way, and then just unclip the dimmer switch from the back.

I was going to bypass the switch if i see that it's bad...

The dimmer switch definitely doesn't do jack for anything else, so it must be that...

looks like ill be bypassing it tonight. thanks for the input guys
