Pix of my 97' ......before she gets the winter Prep
Well, I have now owned 97' ITR #171 for over 3 yrs. I purchased it on September 21, 2002 from the original owner, with a clean title, never raced or Auto-xed (the guys wife owned him...hahaha...she made him sell it), never modified, and only 36,000 miles for $15,000!! Ever since then I have been daily driving it with an occasional weekend Auto-x, or HPDE. This car continues to put a smile on my face. I am about 99% positive that I will own it until it is completely dead.
Anyway, 3 yrs later, I'm up to 88,000 miles and she's still tearing up the road daily, with a few tasteful mods. Hopefully, next year I will get out to the track more often as college is finally over and I have a little more free time now, but who knows, I'm building a house so upgrades to the house may consume many weekends.
Cliffsnotes: Got the car for the greatest deal Ever! Continue to drive the Crap out of it! Loving it!
Just wanted to share some pictures I snapped before I prep her for her 4th winter. Time for mudguards, Millenia's and snows
and Matt, yeah, I got another set of Millenias

This is whats in store soon

Good luck with the house Larkin!
It's funny how you bring up the 99% factor. I often get tempted to go Evo shopping, but I just don't see how it could be that much more gratifying than the R, especially when you think of the extra expenditure.
I'm putting the wheels to good use on a regular basis, however I just corded my Hoosiers after 40 runs. Arggg! I even flipped them on the rims, inside edge to out. Oh well.

Thanks, we are really excited about the house. I'll finally have a good sized garage.
I'm really not too tempted by other cars at the moment. The fact that the Evo has reliability warranty issues keeps me away from temptation
.
I still would love to have another car to add variety and eventually take some of the miles off the 97. I will most likely buy a beater of some sort within the next year and a half. Luckily, my wife likes sweet cars and we will Spec. and Order her brand new Mini Cooper S this spring. There are rumors that they may come out with a Mini Cooper Lightweight.......hmmm....Good thing I haven't spec'd the car yet. I'm pretty excited to get one as I think they are great, and the torque is incredible on them for a little 1.6 SOHC.

I really enjoy detailing cars, so every fall and winter, I pretty much do a professional hand detail on the car. I have re-applied undercoat in the rear fender wells once already. Realistically, it could happen. I do need to repaint the hood and front bumper soon though. Those parts are wear items though as far as I'm concerned. A little extra precautions can go a long way.

That's because they're S/C'ed
That snow pic reminds me of my R last year. Studded snow tires = designated neighborhood snow plow.

Looking GOOOOOOD Larkin!!!!!
In a town full of big Ford trucks and Chevy Suburbans, you definately stand out in the crowd.
Everytime I see your car cruising down the street it brings a big FAT SMILE to my face. LOTS of people have never even seen a 97 CW in person. I get to see "YOURS" often.....lucky me........
HERE'S TO THE WHEELS NEVER FALLING OFF!!!!!!!!! Keep driving and see ya at the AutoX on the 30th. Ya can't miss the last one....
btw, when your ready for a beater, you know how/where to find me......

have ya ever driven an EVO before? If you can afford to get it go for it!!!! The steering/braking/handling/power potential on this car is amazing!!!!!!

I've driven an Evo....and I STILL can't justify the maintanence costs that go with it. Nor the poor resale value of it. I hope you paid cash for it.....cuz j00 buried in it if j00 didn't....
THATS WHY I DRIVE A HONDA
But this thread is about LARKIN's clean 97 ITR.... Did you see those pics?

Us integra owners will stand tried and true while the real riceboys upgrade to EVO's and dare i say SUBARUs, and blow those cars up to oblivion.
There's no worry there's nothing to complain about having a perfectly running car, well balanced, great resale valued vehicle.

I owned a 95 Integra GSR before.... then moved to an 04 SRT4 then moved to an EVO.... I'm happy with my decisions. Does that make me a ricer?? ha ha!!!
well, I'm glad you are happy with your Integra.. I'm not gonna knock you...
But the EVO is an awesome performance machine that nobody can deny
Any car can be blown up to oblivion if they are not maintained properly or if they are abused.

If you cant justify the maintenance costs that goes with an EVO that means JOO cant afford it. if JOO wanna play JOO gotta pay! I was well aware of this when I bought my car and decided to go for it.
regarding the comment on me paying cash for it and being buried in it, well my response to you is whether I paid cash for my EVO, financed it, or got it as a gift is none of your concern
All that matters is that I got it and that I'm enjoying it
and yes I saw the 97 ITR which is sweet. I'd like to buy one and keep it as a collectors item.
