I have the magnaflow 2.5" muffler... Anyone know if someone sells a silencer that will fit 2.5"?? I saw a universal silencer from DC Sports, but description was as follows, "DC Sports Silencer Insert for 2.5" Universal Muffler Tip". I'm not sure if the silencer itself is for a 2.5" tip, or it is a silencer for the 2.5" DC sports muffler that has a bigger tip than 2.5". Anyone?

 

don't know if this would help you or not. but since you weren't that specific.

Do you have a resonator? how long is it? resonators are a GOOD way to make an exhaust quiet at low RPM (off course, working with the muffle) and if you have the Cat its even quieter, now, if you don't have the cat try to run 2 resonators and this will make your exhaust quiet at low rpm but at highs will still sound, but not as much.

I don't have a cat, but I do have a 2.5" dynamax race magnum to serve as a resonator... The exhaust sounds good but has this really loud spot @ 2k rpm that drives me crazy... I don't want to go through the trouble of welding in another resonator so I was wondering if there was something easier/removable like an exhaust silencer.. Thanks for the reply.

 

just get a high flow cat maybe that might work?

i totally understand you don't want to spend more. Try to find an insert and if that doesn't work, then you know you have nowhere else to go but to the resonator village.
