WHICH INTAKE DO U HAVE?
haha i'm running totally stock minus the snorkel crap. just the rubber tube and the air box, with top. opening the top allows more hot air, which IMO outweighs the benefit of slightly reducing vacuum losses due to drawing all the air from the bottom hole. and the way i see it, the rubber tube won't transfer nearly as much heat to the intake air as a metal one because it's a bad conductor of heat. same with the plastic box. nice and cool all the time.
piping from some random cold air
cut to a stock 94 and up box with K&N air filter,
with and air duct cut under the corner lenses, with a home made aluminum scoop, conected to the a dryer hose air duct up to my stock air box.

i have a aem cold air, but i took it out today cause winter is coming.
i replaced it with the stock hose and a K&N. i have it setup with the stock airbox to support the filter, but i didnt put the lid on so the filters exposed... honestly, its better then the AEM. more lower RPM power and it pulls harder in high rpms. its weird.
