haha i'm running totally stock minus the snorkel crap. just the rubber tube and the air box, with top. opening the top allows more hot air, which IMO outweighs the benefit of slightly reducing vacuum losses due to drawing all the air from the bottom hole. and the way i see it, the rubber tube won't transfer nearly as much heat to the intake air as a metal one because it's a bad conductor of heat. same with the plastic box. nice and cool all the time.

i have a aem cold air, but i took it out today cause winter is coming.
i replaced it with the stock hose and a K&N. i have it setup with the stock airbox to support the filter, but i didnt put the lid on so the filters exposed... honestly, its better then the AEM. more lower RPM power and it pulls harder in high rpms. its weird.

that is probably because it is now much colder out side and the colder weather makes the air denser so you get more power. Plus most of it is in your head.

no one should spend more than $50.00 for an intake
all you need is the pipe short ram or cold air both can be had on ebay for $20.00
and a k&n filter
when you buying aem or injen or another other company for just a pipe you throwing money away

i have a 3" sri pipe $10.00 from ebay and a $40.00 3" k&N filter
