What can I add
Ok Im quite sure you all have seen this post a 1000 x well I guess this is 1001, but anyways Im about to start sportin up my ride and I wanted to know what would be the first steps. I have a 98 Accord 4 cy. auto stock and I wanted to know whats the best I can get out of this without having to buy an H22 engine thats a whole other field. what can I add to get me a little more power... I've been in a quite a few races ( mostly pickin on weaker cars)
the cars I lost to where an Civic SI. will the V6 accord win against an SI? I know an Si has 160 hp and the V6 has around 200 something, but N e ways my friends 04 Mustang (v6 of course) well we're even he beat me on a sprint 1/4, I beat him on a distance run. Whats the best parts I can get... starting with( your thoughts here)

Intake/Header/Exahust is the first place most people start and this will net you fairly minimal gains.(10-20 hp). I would reccomend suspension mods as they will make it much funner do drive.
What is your budget? That will help people with suggestions.

I also have a 98 EX auto. The first mods I installed were cold air intake, header, high flow cat and cat-back exhaust. These combined barely made a difference in performance and costed quite a bit of money. Suspension came next with
! I would have tackled this first if I did it all over again.
Since the i/h/e didn't give me what I was looking for, I went with a real power adder-nitrous. Nitorus, turbo or an engine swap will be where you see the real gains in speed, but the price and wear on your car can be costly. Other than those, there really won't be significant gains without spending tons of cash to make the F23 fast.
The civic is much lighter than an Accord but a 3.0 should make it a pretty close race.
Good luck with your car

And blow it up!
The auto trannies won't last long with a turbocharger. You c ould run conservative boost, like 5 psi, and it'll last you a year or so, but its a ticking time bomb. It wasnt meant to handle power like htat.
You could swap to manual and boost it to 10-12 psi and never look back though.

Difference is really nothing, you wont see incredible gains buying either. If you were planning to turbo, I wouldn't bother anyway. But you're limited by the auto tranny so it doesn't really matter anyway....

Don't waste your time if your wanting to make your Accord a track star. Too much money and way too much time.
If you want to simply improve the car that you've come to love... i/h/e or boost.

I agree with both of your posts!!!
Boost on auto is not a good idea... ...well... auto tranny and hooked up car is like... having a fine girlfriend and her daddy calling in to check and bother... it just feels like something isn't right... know what I mean?!.. lol
I say, intake and headers, and then suspension!
