Tighten the belts, see if they're worn.

If you have more then 1 belt, I.E alternator, a/c , ps . Get someone to step on the gas and see if you can get the belt to make the noise, if you can spray some water on each belt, 1 at a time. If the noise goes away, that belt either needs to be replaced, tighten, or loosened.

Well I would test the alternator first, by hooking a volt meter to it. But it seems like you might not have one, so try tightening the alternator belt and see if the problem goes away.
alright well im pretty positive its the alternator b/c when im idleing the stereo gos in and out sometimes and when i turn on my headlights everything dims. also when i am idleing and i tap the breaks the rpms go up and down quiet a bit.

idunno bout baby powder but loosen the bolt, stick a crowbar down there n put some pressure on it, then tighten thebolt. my car used to whistle when it hit a certain rpm. sure its not a whistle instead of a squeel.
