Default problem with the brakes...

my sister's 91 integra's brakes are actin up.

when she presses on the brake pedal, she has to do it hard and step on it almost completely to the floor. sometimes, it gets stuck before it slowly comes back up. brake master cylinder problem? i was thinking maybe theres an air leak in the brake lines...

Correct on both, could be a bad master or there could be air in the lines or both. Bleed the brakes

1)bleed the system
2)if it still does it replace the master cylinder.

It is really easy if you have two people. You will need a clear hose that fits over the bleeder valve. A bucket, and a turkey baster. First use the baster to drain the master cylinder. Second add new fluid to the master cylinder. Start with the whell farthest from the master cylinder, the right rear. Have your friend pump the brakes untill new gold fluid comes out. Repeat with left rear, front right and front left. Works really well with ate super blue fluid since the fluid is a different color.
