ok guys check this out....just got my head rebuilt.....back to stock spec, with stock valves etc....

using arp head studs...brand new honda head gasket...new timing belt, water pump etc...

anyways the problem -

we finished putting everything together and then we go to start the car and it wont start....we forgot to do a valve adjustment....so we take the valve cover off and adjust the valves.....then we put everything back together and start the car...car starts fine runs good and then all of the sudden we hear a massive leak comming from the back of the motor....

we look to the back of the motor and oil is spewing out from where the head bolts up to the bottom end so we turn the car off....no oil was leaking out of the front of the gasket......but from the passenger side of the car and the back there was oil leaking everywhere extremely bad..i mean its pouring....what the hell is wrong??!!

we used the correct everything....checked the head for everything.....
we even tourqed the head bolts down properly, in the correct order, and by the correct foot pound


anyone had this problem before? what do i do????

you put the headgasket on upside down, and backwards.......

**** happens when you are in a hurry. lol....

 

yup head gasket is for sure updside or backwards if it leaking at the back of the block side and shooting out then hg is backwardss for sure

 

Didn't double gasket the oil filter did you?
