Hey guys,

Ran across this fairly "cheap" K24 longblock and i've been thinking about all week, finally saw it today and apparently "broken motor mount" was a bit of an underestimate... I would really appreciate your expertise in the manner.

Do you think this is worth $1000? I was planning on a K24 block/K20 head hybrid, so I'd only need the bottom end of the K24 but, do you think the mounts are repairable, and if they are is it worth it in the long run?

Not worth it at all, engine has too many issues to bother with for that price.

 

yeah man you'd be going over it for ever. if you have good access to welder, alliminum and a machine shop it wouldnt be a bad deal if you dont mind working on it for a long time. some are awful bad though. what did the thing wreck than sit in a lake?

yeah that motor is waaay too screwed up. could have a lot more issues once you even get it. wtf happened to it anyways?

Somthing like a shipment of K24's were in a train wreck, and someone got hooked up with the engines after Acuras insurance payed for all of them.

Everyone was crying "SCAM" but now it doesnt look like such a good deal...

 

if there are any good bits and pieces on the motor, sell those. Theres a slight crack in the block casting, part it out, block is no good.

Considering I'm willing to give you mine for $1000 and it's practically brand new with 3000 miles on it, I think you'd be ******* retarded to even think about buying that abomination .

 

I would not take that pice of junk for free
