ecu problem p28 burnt smell!?

Default ecu problem p28 burnt smell!?

yea so i pulled out my ecu tonight kus i alwasy take it in wit me but um i smelled this smell so i took it apart and look at it and this black square resistor thingy is all cracked and burnt and the ecu cover is black right above that part of the ecu the number next to the resistor thin is q31... its really close to where the ecu plugs go. its in line wit hte middle plus its not hard to miss
PLEASE LEMME KNO WHY THIS MAY HAVE HAPPENED>!

You have a short in the wiring for the EVAP purge solenoid, or you have the plugs for the IAT sensor and the EVAP purge solenoid connected wrong. If this is the case, you probably need a new IAT sensor too.

um no not at all it jus smell and i took it apart and saw that.. now i remember wat happened a friend mines had the same problem and yesturday one of my boys brother went to go turn the car on and used my ecu and i got it back like that
