need help eg wont start, ecu? hydro lock?
after a day of driving in the rain, my four door eg dx wont start. it just died in the middle of the street but this was after it had stopped raining. there is no mods just plain stock. it wont crank, there is power and nothing else seems to work. i changed the dizzy cause i thought it was that but no luck, tried carb cleaner, and no deal. someone told me could be timing belt or ecu.
if anyone out there has an auto dx ecu, 92 eg four door or anything that will work let me know. thanks any help would be great.

take out the plugs and spin it over by hand. if it spins free with the plugs out, crank it and get the water out of it and reinstall the plugs and start it up and listen for noise as it may have bent a rod if it is in fact hydro-locked.
You said there was power, how did you check this? Did you use a meter to check? It is entirely possible that because you were driving in the rain, your battery is dead. During rain driving, you will usually have more accessories on... such as headlight, fog lights, heater, defroster, A/C, and could be idling more with traffic. Perhaps the battery was not being charged because most D series engines will not charge the battery sufficiently at idle with all the accessories. Check your voltage with a multi-meter at the battery, cigarette ligher, starter, and starter signal. If there is good voltage (above 12.50) with everything off, try cranking it and check the voltage then. If it is below 10, that is usually not a good sign for a Honda.
ummm, it cranks but wont turn over, and the weird thing is that it will only crank in N, it wont crank in park. its totally dead in park not even a click. most electronics work, headlights, radio, etc.
i checked all fuses and nothing is burnt
ill try cranking it over later that requires just a little bit more work.
im still kind of concerned that it might be an ecu problem cause of that cranking in Neutral thing.
thanks for all relpies anymore help would be greatly appreciated

your problem seems more and more complicated. i have a honda service manual somewhere, i need to dig it back out (just moved)... you need the flow chart. anyone else have one to help this guy?
it seems that it is the ecu, put in ecu from friends eg and it worked. now i just need to find one thanks for all the help guys.
now if anyone has done a swap and wants to get rid of their auto ecu let me know hahahha.
