i read up a bunch on the famous p8r head and i am debating if i want to buy it. i already have my b20b head and was going to send it to get port and polish and add stage 3 cams. my question is there going to be any real difference between the beads besides the larger valves after the p&p job? is it worth me buying the head and noting sending the one i already have to get ported?

 

Yes, the the same money will get more performance from the P8R head.

 

I have a p8r sitting on my shelf just calling to me. I will try to get it on a flow bench for you sometime and give you some stock pr4 or p75 numbers compared to the stock p8r. i think i am going to save it for a fun car later.

 

or... you can get a b16 head and go faster and make more power

 

since i will be running no ecu at all(carbs) vtec is not an option
