My car has a b16, and the radiator fan is hooked up to a switch inside my car, for some reason I thought the fan turned on anyway.....but it doesnt, and for the past month ive been driving w/o the fan turned on not realizing it until 2day...... ne1 know what kind of potential damage we are talking?

None really... Has the car overheated? My fan hardly ever comes on, unless im sitting idling for some time.

Long as it hasnt overheated, you are gtg. You dont need to run your fan all the time, just when you see your temp rising since its manual. I used to just kick my heater on before i fixed my fan switch.

As the above people have stated,if your temp gauge hasnt gone into the red i.e the car has not overheated then your safe, however if it has then thats a whole new ball game!!

well actually i was screwing around with stuff and i undid the wire to the switch not really knowing wat it was, then the car started overheating so i put the fan switch back on...... i duno it was overheatin maybe for 10 min overall? I know there shouldnt be any damage really, but if there were, what would it be?

everyone pretty much covered it. just as long as it doesnt overheat. u woulda noticed a diff. if u were racin etc. and drivin on highways for long times , that your motor would start to overheat. pistons could get f*cked and other internals can overcom throughout the overheating process. but you should be str8 if you havnt noticed a change in the condition on the motor.

the fan tends to spinn once the sensor detects the engine temperature to be 2 hot. u can check ur oil gauge once it starts going over 50% the fann normally spins by that time

if it retains the stock radiator you are probably fine unless you let it idle for a long time. the stock radiators are more than enough for driving at pretty much any speed. my car was fine for a month in the summer in 90+ degree heat. it would get a little warm at stop lights, but never got above the top of the little symbol on the temp guage.
