easiest way to locate shift linkage?
Im having trouble locating my shift linkage to see if its the cause of my probmel, on a 98 base lude... whats the easiest way? thanks

connects to the top of the tranny then runs towards the fire wall right in the center under the firwall above the cross member is where it runs.
The stick moves freely between 3rd and 4th, no resitance, with the clutch in or out, and the car is stuck in third gear no matter the position of the stick(but i cant get the stick to move into 1st2nd5th reverse, its just stuck on that path) and from my research it appears that this problem would be linkage related.
you could've bent one of the internal shift forks. disassemble the linkage at the tranny and try to move the outer lever. if it doesn't move, you gotta crack open the trans. sucks, bro...
