Spark Plugs are white --> what is my engine doing?? why?
ok.. here is a pic of my spark plugs 4-3-2-1
the 4th one is more yellowish.
1, 2, & 3 are all white.
I am burning a little coolant over a month or so of time. would that be the cause of the 4th spark plug being yellow?
and why are the other 3 all white? why is my engine running hot?
I am going to have my timing checked and possible a leak down test.
any suggestions/help???

the middle two, is what you want to see. Engine running good..the two end ones, might need to look in the owners manual see whats goin on, or im sure someone on here knows for sure.
yes i know.. thank you for the pic.. i have the book.. ive checked them out.
1, 2, 3 are all white. the pic might not sure it that well, but they are all running hot and lean.

yep my car is running really lean and mine are paper white... whats your motor setup?

its all stock.

I think I might try a colder spark plug, because I do drive pretty hard on a regular basis to use the b17 powerband since there is NO power below 3500 RPM.
I am bogging a little bit. It may be my timing so I am going to have the checked and adjusted to 16 degrees.
and possibly have a leakdown test down to see check everything.

the fourth one is hard to make out in the pic. it might be a little oil burning going on or just running rich, but considering that the other 3 are running lean i'd say it's burning oil a little. i'd check your ignition timing for maybe being a little overadvanced. other than that, general tune-up stuff, like fuel filter, etc. as always it's kinda hard to see them in the pics but it sounds like you know what to look for. good job knowing about reading plugs. it seems most people don't know jack about their cars these days . . .
Yeah I had the same problem recently, one plus was burning white...I ran some colder plugs and havent had much problem since.
I get lucky alot when I work on my car though.
I'll come help you out sometime this weekend man.

who says they are for FORD???
i was running NGK Iridium and the same thing happened to them..
so i put these cheaper ones in just to test.

if it's happened to two different sets of plugs, and judging by the fourth plug, your leaking oil, get the leak down test done and see what happens, you'll be able to isolate a problem much better than having a bunch of ppl throw out educated guess's......
Mine spark plugs look just like that on my B17 before my rebuild..
I'm guessing that your running a little lean and your burning a little oil when you hit Vtec...
I bet your injector are a little dirty, what fixed mine was getting the injectors cleaned and balanced...

Try buying a Fuel pressure guage and regulator from B&M. My guess would be the extra airflow, with no extra fuel. That fixed my problem. I had an intake, the plugs were fine, but when I added an exhaust system, the became a little white (lean). I upped my Fuel pressure by 3-5 PSI, and she's fine now.
im thinking my injectors area a little dirty and need to be cleaned and rebalanced.. i checked RC Engineering how much, and they want like $25 an injector.
anywhere else that does it cheaper??

well I paid $29 an injector... so $25 each is a good price...
your next choice is to get a good quality injector cleaner..that might work, but I'll tell you; you will notice a difference after they're balanced.

how can you really tell if ur injectors are dirty? not necessarily clogged to where it doesnt work at all but dirty
