searched and cant find it so im asking. which helicoil for a 10x30 bolt. one of the lower torque mount bolts into the body is stripped and i need to put a helicoil in it or tap it. the closest i found online wasa 10x20. what do you guys think?

 

2X thread diameter is more than sufficient. honda probably just has a captive nut on the other side of the sheetmetal anyway. Metric helicoils are not the easiest to come by (nor cheap), especially in the non as common 1.25 pitch. where are you purchasing?

 

dont know where im gonna get it from. still figuring out what and how to fix it.

 

i think the most effect and easiest way would be to timesert the hole which is alot stronger then heli-coil.
