Default 98 accord door lock-window switch problem-multiplex master window switch?

i have a new question, hope this is the place for it. my 98 accord s keyless (dealer installed) entry quit working. here are the symptoms:
remote only unlocks the drivers door, wont lock it again
master window switch only works the two left windows. right windows work from their own switch.
door locks dont work from anywhere or with the key, except manual operation
lights and horn work from the remote as normal, just nothing happens with the locks.

thanks for your help. mark in texas

Could be something with the wiring from the main switch on driver's door.... that's my guess.... electrical problem!

Mark, The first place I'd start is at the fuse box. I don't expect to find any, but I want you to first confirm all the fuses are ok.
From there, I'd check the connections to the L/S Front Master Switch Assembly (Both the Windows and door locks work thru it).

What's making it tough for both myself and anyone else who might want to jump in here, is that it'e an add-on (Dealer Installed) item; and we've no idea where they may have intercepted required wiring, or what system it is.....Honda Accessories or AfterMarket...

It could be something as simple (Hah!) as a broken wire, or as difficult as diagnosing multiple switches.
Let's see what happens here.

understand completely, the keyless is the factory unit , not sure if that helps. i have checked every fuse in the car. had the drivers door panel off and checked the master window plug for connections and such. according to alldata there was a tsb on this problem and i figured a honda tech would have seen the problem, so they they could tell me where to start. alldata shows three multiplex control modules, the main drivers door switch plus two more under the dash. also their is a procedure to check all three, very long and drawn out. i wanted to avoid that.

my car has had the ignition switch recall, its amazing that after that was fixed my brake lights starting working again

Sometime Honda dispatches Elves from your local dealer in the still of the night, charged with the responcibility of effecting at least three unexplained repairs a night.
It works out pretty well except during the later part of the year, where they're temporarily reassigned to some guy at the North Pole.
You should be proud, they work off the same list

Did you have some rain and move your intermittent wiper switch? Sounds like your multiplex system got stuck in sleep mode, moving the intermittent wiper switch to one of the middle positions will usually wake them up.
