Could a bad Catalytic Converter give vtec lag?
would like to know if a cat could make vtec bog..sometimes my vtec kicks in smooth all the way and sometimes it bogs n and out my cat is rusty and i was debating if it could be the cat if so i would replace it
its not vtec solenoid..and its not that i dont have enuff oil i just want to know if it could cause my vtec to bog cause its not getting enufff airflow through it

Agreed. And clogged cat will affect certain things regardless if it's VTEC or not.
So does the bogging ONLY occure when in VTEC? Or does it bog down overall? If it does overall, then that could be spark plugs, wires, etc.

My catalytic converter was stolen . At the garage which was "recommended " by the insurance company they are telling me it now needs a new vtech solenoid? It was running perfectly before this. All oil changes on time. What is happening?
Get your car out of that rip-off garage before they drain your bank account.
