if i were to order parts for it a like auto zone or sommthing would i say so and so parts for a zc or b16
are they any good as in speed are they any better then a 1.5 sohc dual point fuel injection because thats what i got now
are they worth fixing up
does the clutch from my 1.5 fit on that engine
thats all for now i just wanna make sure im getting the right thing and if its worth the time and the engine has a lil bit under 100 grand so hit me up and let me know on these quistions

haha its like day and night brutha,
dpfi sucks
dual cam zc's are pretty good, but there in now way related to a b16. more like a LS or 1g teggy
edit: your d series clutch will fit, zc's are basically d seires and ALL parts are interchangable

http://thenew.gamesbbs.com/~dmoore/zc.htm <------ go to this website there is really good info on it, and a parts list for the engine
depends on what you are buying. usually any thing from the bottom will be parts from the sohc, from the head up will be parts from the 88-89 integra. you will have to mix and match depending on what you need
b16 is way better, but you need everything for a swap-motor,tranny,mounts,linkage,computer etc.
zc willdrop into your car with existing mounts tranny clutch etc. you just need a computer and change a few wires

You actually cant ask that question here, or you will find your thread gets turned into a 8 page flamming war of ZC VS B16 guys. It depends on your budget, your expectations, and what you are doing to the motor.
Do some research and decide for yourself. Which one is better is too open ended a question that will result in endless discussion that can be found by searching.

First off, let's figure out what ZC you're talking about. There are different breeds of ZC. The most common are the DOHC (dual-cam) ZC and the SOHC (single-cam) ZC. There's even a single-cam VTEC ZC, but I've never actually seen one in person. I'm told they're quite rare. Anyway, on to your questions, *assuming* you're talking about a dual-cam ZC:
1. No, and no. AutoZone won't have any idea what the hell a ZC is, because it was never available in a US-market Honda. The dual-cam ZC is very similar to the D16A1 DOHC 1.6L that came in the '86-'89 Acura Integra. Close, but not EXACT. Neither of them really share anything in common with the B16 except that they're all dual-cam engines displacing 1.6 liters. B16 parts in general are useless to you if you've got a ZC.
2. Yes. The DOHC ZC put out around 130hp in stock form. The DPFI 1.5 in a CRX DX put out around 92hp stock. So the ZC would be better. BUT - and this is not small "but" - if you've got a DPFI setup right now, you'll have to switch your car over to an MPFI setup to get the best results out of ANY engine you put in it. DPFI sucks, period. There are tons of places to get info on DPFI-to-MPFI swaps. Search, read, and search some more. It helps if you're handy with wiring or know someone who is (I'm not, so that part of it scares me more than it probably should!).
3. Define "fixing up". Stock for stock, they're a pretty good swap into a CRX or Civic. As swaps go, they're probably the easiest swap that will get you any appreciable performance boost. As for "fixing up", you're not going to have the easiest time finding performance parts for the DOHC ZC, simply because it was never sold by Honda in the US.
4. If you keep your transmission, clutch, and flywheel, they'll bolt right to the ZC and should work fine, but you might want to look into an Si transmission; it's got a more aggressive final drive ratio which allows quicker acceleration.
Hope this helps some. Before buying ANYTHING, make sure the engine's in good working order. No one wants to buy an engine, swap it in, and then find out their "friend" sold it cheap because it was on its last legs!
