Default Clutch acting up problems, need assist.

OK heres the deal,
my clutch is acting VERY strange.
it's not that it's slipping like i'd expect as if it had no grip.
at full throttle my engine works fine, just fine.

The problem is at cold startups, and it's begining to happen during driving as well, mostly stop/go.

So what happens on cold starts, is the clutch will slip/grab, slip/grab, over and over
when i'm releasing my clutch pedal the car feels almost as if it's about to stall, it just jerks allover the place like the clutch can't grab or something.

But once I get the car going it's fine.
and once the engine warms up the clutch works alot better as well.
Though now on cold days it's beginning to do it once the engine is warm as well.
only not as violently as it does when it's cold.

Any clue what this could be?
thanks

Maybe your clutch is shuddering, but your description sounds like it's going too slow. Shuddering (chattering) is from a warped clutch disk or maybe the flywheel or pressure plate has unevenly glazed or something like that. Time for a new clutch if that's it.

Wearing out (thin) makes the clutch slip, but that's not the only way for it to go bad.

ok,
yeah I was thinking it might be cuz I didn't resurface my pressureplate last time
i took my tranny off..
it was using the same disc.. but the fw was new.
so i duno..

Mainly I just want to rule out the transmission as a possible problem..
i'd like a new clutch anyways.
