Default Electrical Gremlin attacked my CRX

So I was out at the track last Sat when the weirdest thing happenned. I did a few warm up laps, and on my 3rd lap, right before a sharp turn, my car completely dies! It's making the double beep noise that I usually hear when I've opened my door with the keys in the ignition, and all my gauges are at 0. I tried pressing on the gas so I could drive off the track to somewhere safe but it's as if somebody disconnected the battery and wouldn't respond. BUT...After making a complete stop, i turned my ignition off, then started the car again and it worked...

Got out and checked under my hood for loose wires but no avail. I lapped the rest of the day without any problems. Has anyone ever experienced this or is it just a freak accident?

Sounds like your ignition switch may be starting to go. If you or a previos owner had many keys on the same ring as the ignition key, it may have helped it to an early death. You might try wiggling your keys when the car is on and see if this makes the issue occur.
