Hmm, I had a similar problem and finally deduced that it was spring bind in the clutch master cylinder (All I could figure). I removed the push rod from the clutch pedal assembly and kind of jostled the cup of the master cylinder around a little. It started feeling a little smoother so I put the pin back in and so far (5 days now) everything is fine.
My clutch has less than 1k miles on it with a new PP, release bearing, and surfaced flywheel. So I figured that something was wrong with the hydraulic system. I cant find any leakage in the system, so it had to be a mechanical part. That's what I finally came up with, but we shall see if I was wrong or not.. heh!
