Ok, im getting to the next step of my turbo project which is getting the clutch, ~12lbs flywheel, and lsd.

I'm pretty set on a streetlite (12ish lbs) ACT fly and an OBX LSD (i know the passengerside axle 'defect') but can't decide on a clutch.

I like exedy as a brand, but for Ds you have Exedy OEM :: cottoncandy, Exedy stage one :: sourwarhead, and exedy stage 2 :: hard liquor. I mean how can the Exedy design go from an organic disc to a 3 puck disk?!?

Then there is ACT. There is the nice HDSS, and XTSS...

I dunno, im un-informed w/ clutches I've driven my friends stage 3 ACT which was insanely stiff. and thats about it. Any other clutches i've tried driving has been stock.


Soo help me chose the correct clutch for me. Initial Goals: 200hp (so about 170 torque ^_^) but would like the chance to goto 300hp (so 250 tq) in the future after internal work. Daily Driver!

I'm running a Competition Clutch Stage 5, probably overkill for your application, but i love it so far. Stay away from Spec.
