97 civic cx

is there any way i can add vtec to my current 1.6l engine without swapping it out? if i can what parts would i have to have? anything else to add to my engine to make it a little bit quicker?

do a search for mini-me, there are quite a few write ups on it. best bang for buck mod is a tranny swap to a 92-95 ex/si tranny or 96-00 ex tranny.
