Like I stated on my last thread, I just purchase a 95 LX coupe 5 speed w/ 275,000. Yes its alot of miles! I notice that my coolant resivor is bubbling and steam is coming out from it, during normal driving. Is it my radiator thats clogged or my water pump is bad? Any info would help.

 

Does your temp guage show that it's hot?
Do your fans run?
Is it same whether idling or driving?
If all yes, maybe head gasket. Do a compression test.

 

my temp guage needle is sitting a little lower than the half way mark while driving...once stuck in stop and go traffic, it starts to creep up....after turning off the car, i can hear the antifreeze boiling in the coolant resivor bottle...i already check the dipstick and no coolant or milky water..i need to double check on the fan...

 

Turn on the a/c. Both fans should run regardless of temp.

I'd bet on it being the thermostat...check that first before anything else.
