Default si wiring harness question

I'm putting an ls motor into an 88 crx si. I'm using a 90 si harness. The motor won't start and i've traced it down to a difference in the harnesses. I've searched already and found people saying that there is a differeence in harnesses. The problem is that people are saying that they don't plug in mine does, but the wires are different. Do I need an 88 si harness. Any help would be great.

Pretty sure you do need to get a 88-89 harness. I had the same questions, so rather than take a chance on a 90-91 harness, I waited for a 89. Worked out cause the car is runnin great. I'd hold out for those years. I have a few names of guys who had them I can shoot ya if you'd like.

that is way to much work use the dx motor harness aand wire the injectors to the ecu also switch the cylinder aand crank position sensor wires to the correct ones on the ecu you will have 2 wires running to the distributor also if you cant do it your local tuner shop should do it for around a 100 bucks we charge 75 but I dont know were you are
