It's an automatic and I notice I have to fill this car up once a week. My gf doesn't drive far. She drives me to work and then drives herself to work. We live not even five miles from where we both work. Any ideas as to why this is happening and what I can do to prolong gas mileage? I haven't changed the oil in a while and the spark plugs too. How much of an incerase will I see if I change both? Is there anything else I could change in order to get better gas mileage? Do the tires make a difference?

once a week means......what? How many miles is that?

 

I'll calculate that today.

 

I filled up my car about once every two weeks, which is about 260-300 miles. I can fill up to 10 gal in my car, so i get around 26 to 30 mpg with i/h/e and timing set +4
