Default Need answers to my questions

I have a 1991 Honda Accord Automatic transmission 2.2 litre fuel injected motor.
Anyways i have two major problems going on. One is the car likes to overheat and is using coolant like its free, i have checked the thermostat, fans, and everything i can possibly think of (even headgasket). So i took it to a local shop, they diagnosed the problem as a pinhole leak in the radiator somewhere and they said it wasnt flowing good. So my question is, does anyone know the usual time to change a radiator out on this vehicle. Next problem, car ran fine for them, however it wouldnt start when i went to pick it up. So i towed it home with my truck. It has spark, because if i spray starter fluid and it fires but nothing more. I never paid attention before now, but i do not hear the fuel pump turn on when i turn the ignition. Where should i start to solve this problem. Any information will be EXTREMELY helpful.

Thanks, Dave.

As for you car not starting you might have a main relay that went bad. (Search on this topic it have been covered a lot on here). As for you over heating problem you need to find the leak first. It is not that uncommon for hondas to have leaky radiators from time to time just make sure that this is the problem before you replace it!

A little less than an hour and one half (1.3) hours for the radiator sounds about right (if everything goes right )

Besides the main relay there's one other thing to check ...........................(pause)
FUEL PUMP FUSE.
It's cheap, it's fun, it's for everyman; it's FUEL PUMP FUSE
Available Everywhere

Just have'in Fun

ths car does not have a direct fuel pump fuse , pump is powered by main relay, but chk these fuses,,under dash,, fuse # 2 15 amp, fuse # 9 7.5 amp those fuses are hot in start mode, underhood fuse box fuse # 28 10amp that is hot all the time, if u find a bad fuse , replace and try starting car, if fuses are ok, remove main relay and chk for cracked solderings, relay is located under left side iof dash, left of stering column, above cruise control box, it has 6 wires going to it , looking at it from thr bottom is is rusty/ browinsh in color........
As for the headgasket blown, it could make car overheat, could get coolant in the oil, could burn coolant out of tail pipe, it is kind of a sweet smell . could get coolant in plugs causing a misfire ..

Hummmm, learned something. On my 5th gens, the #2 (15a) fuse is a dedicated Fuel Pump fuse in the interior fuse box.
Seems Honda's been on a learning curve, just like myself

(soo embarrassed
