i just thought this was an interesting pic of the chassis that was previously damage by the same drain cover that destroyed montoya's car. its not so interesting because of the damage to the chassis, just a look at how they built the rollcage and other reinforcements.

those almost look like harness mounts.

Yeah, it looks to be seat rails. Looks like the used those bars as seat rails and put a side mount bracket on it and the seat!

That's why a regular part of street course preparation is to securely tack-weld those missiles in place. Somebody didn't get the memo!

it most recently occured last weekend during the F1 race at shanghai. drain cover came loose and ripped montoyas car. it was revealed there was a previous incident with a V8 supercar race earlier this year.





good guess track rat.
