I had this problem just last Thursday, and I replaced the IACV with a known working unit. Today, the damn cel comes back on.

What should I be looking at??
(The replacement IACV is clean and I know that it works fine)

Make sure you pluged the harness back into it or that it is plugged in all the way.

It worked fine since thursday night until 4pm today...

 

try cleaning it? just might be dirty maybe something else is causing the IAC to throw a code?

Did you swap from obd2-1 by chance and did not do the 3-2 wire conversion?

Follow the wires. There may be a short somewhere. When I used to work at a dealership, cars would have shorts and the burned wire would be somewhere inside the dash. Hard to get to, but it's possible most of the time if you take your time. Dunno try that.

is the car acting up at all? is it iddleing correctcly? make sure that the iacv and the actual holes in the intake manifold are completely free of dirt use brakeparts cleaner and after you do it reset the ecu see what happens

 

yeah, Ive gone through the basic procedure
idle is smooth
unit is clean
IM is clean

Ive reset the ecu 3 times since last thursday. The thing runs fine for awhile and then the cel (same, 14) returns.
I really dont think its the IACV, there has to be something else causing this problem.

same **** was happening to me...the car would idle fine and run fine, then code 14 and 9 would pop up...under the hood i noticed water leakin out the tb...i touched where it was leaking...reseted the ecu adn the code went away...wtf oO

Forgot to mention. Check for loose connections at the drivers side shock tower plug. Like I said follow the wire as far as you can. It would make sense if a wire is loose since the problem is intermittent (on and off).
