Sometimes if you take the valve cover off theres a stud sticking thro you can grab with a vise grip, otherwise take the cover all lay rags down to protect everything and drill it out and use an easy out. Worse comes to worse drill and retap or use a heli coil to fix the threads.

tap and die set. i just put a nut/bolt and 2 washers to seal the hole when i did it because when you start drilling it out, metal shavings go everywhere. it doesn't leak, so i'm happy.

We got lucky and were able to take a small punch and drive the broken bolt out by tapping it on the off direction. They will come out easy once they start moving.

Try the easy out in a drill first. maybe you can catch a piece of the broken thread.
