honda makes cars that are easy to operate.....from my experience ALL hondas have ligther gas pedals than other cars. it allows you to be more precise with throttle position....put on some smaller shoes, or losten up the throttle cable under the hood

 

don't loosen it ccompletly. You don't want to drive at half throttle. Drives like crap.... Move the throttle nuts about 1/8 of an inch. Make sure you tighten tham up afterwards so that it doesn't chew up the grooves. It should be somewhere on the throttle body where the cable attaches. I haven't worked on 2001, but they are all similar from what i know.
