ok so i have a 97 accord auto. the engine check light went on and it gave me a code 17 which is the vss. where is the vss located and can someone show me an actual pic of the location. also ever since my vss went wrong my idle is way off . its idling at 300-400. thanks in advance

The VSS or vehicle speed sensor is on the transmission I believe sitting on the top of it in plain sight. It was on my 96 5spd anyways. Like I said do a search, its a common problem.
