I got my CAI yesterday. After looking at it a few times I noticed that at the first elbow from the intake manifold (Closest to the CARB stickers) has a flat (almost inverted) dent in it. Is this normal? Is it for Clearance?

I don't think so because there are some black marks around it on the finish as well. I'll be bringing it back to the shop but I just want to make sure that I know for sure, incase he gives me the old "It's supposed to be like that"

No, that sounds wrong. Your CAI should be perfectly tubular from one end to the other. Good luck.

Mine has that dent from running with a Neuspeed 4 point strut tower brace. Was yours new or used?

 

yea i just checked and its not normal.
