okay I just bought a 91 civic hatch with a b18b and every time a hit the gas to go faster than normal it wants to turn off, the guy i got it from said that it needs a new fuel regulator cause he's using the stock civic one could that be the problem. I really need the car to drive around so any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

 

No codes or CEL? Anymore symptoms?

 

yea the CEL is on and a code 17 for a broken speed sensor, the car will be just fine if I like go slow but soon as i try to speed up it will bog and turn off if I dont let go of the gas
