Default D15B Vtec Motor Mounts Q's

Hey guys well im in a real pickel right now, Im just frustrated, and need some help. I have a CRX HF and Im soon to drop a D15 Vtec in. The old motor is out, everything is ready to plug and play. But the motor mount on the driver side doesnt alling right (not sure if i spelled it right??) with the motor mount? what gives? do i need to swap that moun thats bolted on the D15B and bolt the one from the HF motor on there? any help, is appreciated....

I also searched too and found only that if i keep the mount from the D15B Vtec it will rub on the belt/belt cover and cause it to wear and tear....can some one confirm this?

any ideas????

Let me clear this up for up real quick:

I can tell you from now that the D15B won't fit in that car using it's
stock mounts. I put one in my '89 CRX DX last year. After putting on
my old tranny on the D15B I tried putting it in. Like you said, it didn't
fit. Before attempting to put the new motor back in you need to remove
the timing belt cover and swap out the engine bracket for the one off
your olf HF motor. I failed to realize this at the time and ended up
performing this feat with the new engine already sitting in the car.

Mine was a DX but I'm sure that swapping out your HF d/s bracket
off the engine will let it drop right in. You do not need a motor mount
kit.

If they make a mount kit, it'll be nothing more than 4 new stock CRX mounts.
You've got a D15B, you know what I'm talkin bout.

Yea thanks for the quick reply, I knew it wasnt going to be a direct swap/bolt on like everyone says. Im doing this Swap/Tech/FAQ for the D15B Vtec (JDM).....i should be done writting it up soon and ill take pics as im doing the swap thanks.....

p.s. Even if they do make new mounts for a CRX its just replicas of the 3 tranny mounts and a DS modifyed mount just for the, might *** well only sell that special mount.....Also some new ES motor mount inserts work wonders too

are you aware that no one makes a driver side mount that places the motor correctly? hmm i think not. also the trans mount leaves much to b desired, the torque mounts really do not hold up to higher HP gains

when replacing your motor for another single slam from a 92-00 motor into a ef you must reuse ur stock motor mounts especialy the driver side one.
